Can I buy a property in Spain as a foreigner?
Yes, there are no restrictions for foreign buyers. You only need a NIE number – we will help you with that.
Do I need a NIE number?
Yes, the NIE number is your Spanish identification number and is compulsory for every property purchase. We will arrange the application together with Denia Casas.
What are the additional costs associated with a purchase?
Allow for approximately 10 to 13 per cent on top of the purchase price for property transfer tax, notary fees, registration and legal assistance.
How long does the purchasing process take on average?
From offer to key handover usually takes six to twelve weeks, depending on financing and documentation.
Can I get a mortgage as a non-resident?
Yes, Spanish banks typically finance 60 to 70 per cent of the purchase value for non-residents. We will put you in touch with the right advisers.
What do our partners actually do?
We work with a legal partner. They check contracts, liabilities and permits, and oversee the notarial transfer.
